I never pictured myself with a store of any type and don't market any products. I'm a writer who happens to love to grill and to share information on outdoor cooking and all the great grills and barbecue accessories and sauces that I come across. People often ask, "What do you sell?" Hum. Well, I don't. I write.
When I get emails or comments about specific grills and other outdoor gear, I try to track down places to buy the products which, in some cases, can be difficult. There are many little niche sellers in the barbecue and grillng realm, and they have some of the best stuff too (just hard to find).
Open Sky is a new online store approach where they get experts to hand select the "best of the best" in terms of product lines. They are covering all kinds of products, but they spoke with me about grilling and barbecue products.
At first I wasn't too sure about the barbecue store idea. I didn't even like selling Girl Scout cookies, and those are so good that they almost sell themselves. But, I thought about having a place with my very favorite grill items all in one place and extra info like I share here and thought it would be a good idea.
My Open Sky Yes You Can Grill Store went live today. So far, there are just a couple of my favorite grills (Outdoorchef City Grill and the Cobb) and some Oxo grill gloves.
It's a start, and more of my favorite grill products are in progress as far as going in the store. The Open Sky crew actually works with the companies on that end based on grills and barbecue products that I send in as favorites.
Over time I hope to have all the best outdoor cooking products all together in one space with information about each one and why it was selected. I know I've spent loads of time researching and trying out grill products with some being great and some . . . well . . . not so much. I want to have the type of store I would have enjoyed while buying barbecue gear - one that only offers tried and true products that are worth ordering.
Note - With the new barbecue store opening, all shipping costs are covered, and we're offering loads of great deals. So, keep an eye out and get in on a good deal from time to time.

Tks RacyB - It's a whole new thing for me, but I love being able to pick barbecue grills and gear that I love and get them out there with Open Sky.
Good luck with the new store Cyndi. If you're ever looking for additional parts, here's a great website I recently found.
