Heinz 57 Tailgate Giveaway - Win a Great Free Prize (11-4-2012 drawing)

Heinz 57 Tailgate Prize Pack - Enter to Win

Stephanie emailed to see if I'd like to try out some new Heinz 57 products and if I thought my readers would enjoy a contest to win a Heinz tailgate prize.

I grew up with Heinz 57, and the steak sauce always makes me think of my childhood. I didn't realize they'd come out with some new sauces - one with honey and one with Lea & Perkins Worchestershire sauce. Yum. Good combinations to add some variety to a familiar and fun sauce line.

The prize pack includes the three Heinz 57 sauces as well as a tailgate blanket, grill tool set, drink huggie, and a cookbook with outdoor grilling recipes.

How Can You Enter to Win the Heinz Tailgate Giveaway?

I keep my contests very simple. You just enter (with no spam to follow). Then, I have a family member, friend, or neighbor draw a name from the slips I make with the entries.

To enter, just comment here on the blog and tell me why you'd like to win this fun prize pack. You can comment once per day through noon on November 4, 2012. I do have moderation on the blog, so you don't get naughty links (whew - a lot of people like to put those in comments sadly). I do check back often, so if you don't see your post immediately, know that I'll get it cleared quickly.

Some folks like to do extra entries, so if you Facebook the link or Tweet it, then I'll add an extra slip for doing either or two entries for both. Just be sure to leave a message here if you do the extras. I don't want to miss any of your entries.

Remember also to leave some way to get in touch. I don't collect or use your contact data, but I need some way to get in touch if you're the winner. Then, I send just the winning name in with a snail mail address so that the prize can be mailed to you from Heinz.

Good luck! I'll post the winner after noon on 11-4-2012.

Be the Grill Mayor and Go to NYC for a Great BBQ Blow Out Prize

You can be the Grill Mayor with the Food Network Contest: Grill Mayor of 2012.

This is WAY more than just “bragging rights” where you impress your barbecue buddies with a cool title. The winner of this barbecue contest will feel like a rock star – no kidding.

The grand prize Grill Mayor wins a trip for two to New York City. If you are spouse-less and friend-less, then I’d be glad to fill your guest seat. Just kidding, but this is a terrific prize and one that I’d be thrilled to win as I know you guys would be too.

What does the grand prize to New York City include?

• 2 nights in the Big Apple in a first-class hotel
• $100 Food Network gift card
• Food Network grilling cookbook
• Omaha Steaks grilling kit
• Assorted Grill Mates products (I’ve been enjoying those all summer myself)
• Dinner at Food Network’s chef restaurant in NYC with your guest
• VIP access passes to a premiere New York City BBQ festival (along with your guest – of course)
• Tour of the Food Network kitchens in the Big Apple

See! I told you this is one massive trip to New York with all the trimmings and then some.

You do have to be a legal United States resident and 21 years or older to be eligible.

Now that I’ve got you dreaming of a fabulous getaway packed full of fun plus some terrific take home treasures, I’m sure you’re wondering how you can get your name in the pot. After all, you don’t win contests that you don’t enter (and this is one you barbecue guys and girls really don’t want to miss).

How to Enter to be the Grill Mayor 2012?

1. Complete the online entry form at Food Network.
2. Share a grilling tip or piece of advice along with a photo related to your tip (limit 100 words on the tip)

How easy is that? Share a tip and snap a photo, and you could be kicked back in luxury in New York City between special outings especially fun for barbecue folks.

If you aren't the contest type of person (gasp - that's cool though), then check out the McCormick Grillmates Facebook page. You don't have to do a thing other there than soak up great information about grilling and for free. You'll be surprised at how much grilling data they have at the site to get your grill cranking and your brain pumping with new ideas.

The contest ends at 4:59 pm ET on July 31, 2012, so head over and sign up while it’s fresh on your mind.

Let me know if you win, because it’s great when my readers get something special like this.
Good luck all!

Dean's Dip Winners - Congrats to the Winners From Barbecue Master and Deans

Momma had gone missing this afternoon, so I hung the prize hat on her doorknob. I called and left a message on her phone, and she pulled the names when she got home from the YMCA and Good Will.

All the winners (5 of them - from my comment section and Twitter) get Dean's Dip coupons for 2 free dips. Those are coupons seeing as how dip does not mail that well if you know what I mean. The winners can pick their own flavors though which is way cool. I especially love the guacamole, and my youngest son says the French Onion Dean's Dip rocks (which it does).

Crank up the band. Toss the confetti. The winners are:

Chilly
oshawaogre
Tom
Kyle
Dave

Now, I'm off to contact winners. Dean's will then send the dip coupons once I get contact info to get those out.

I do have contests from time to time. I do not get paid to do those or anything. Most often I get the product to check out to see if I would want to gift it on Barbecue Master fans. So, I got some Dean's Dips like the winners (2), and I did find Dean's Dip to be yummy.

If you look to the right, you can find a click to follow my blog or that email slot which just gets you any updates of Barbecue Master from Google. I don't track anyone. If you want to get me, just comment or email. In the meantime, keep an eye out. I have grill and barbecue notes, news, and sometimes fun contests too.

Happy Father's Day Brew-B-Q Contest - Five Lucky Barbecue Kit Winners

What Fun! Mug Root Beer has donated barbecue baskets (well - coolers actually) for five Grill Girl fans in celebration of Father's Day.

The Mug Root Beer gift packs are bundled in a neat, soft-sided cooler with the company logo on the side - the MRB bull dog. All the fixings to make a delicious, homemade barbecue sauce are in the cooler along with the secret recipe.

OK. The recipe isn't really a secret. You can find the barbecue sauce at the Mug Root Beer page, but then you have to go to the grocery store and buy all the ingredients. If you win, the cooler and supplies arrive right at your front door. Can't beat that.

How to Enter the Barbecue Master Mug Root Beer Barbecue Sauce Cooler Contest

The Father's Day barbecue contest is really simple.

Just post a comment telling everyone why your Dad (or another dad-person in your life) is one hot griller (or not).

Yes. You can nominate your husband, boyfriend, brother, neighbor, or yourself. That's fine. If you know someone who is good on the grill or if you're good, then feel free to tell us (-:

Comment Entries - Very Easy

Comments are moderated (to avoid spam), so don't sweat it if you don't see your entry pop up immediately. I'd have to be online and looking at that the very instant you posted (and then click as well) to have the entry come up on the spot.

Also, remember to let me know how to get in touch. I can contact you at your blog or site if you have a contact form, or post an email, and I'll shoot you a note if the home guys draw your entry.

Really, don't forget to give me some clue as to how to get in touch! If you aren't comfortable doing that, then you can email me at cyndiallison@gmail.com I'll put you in and have some way of getting in touch to get a mailing address.

Heck No - I Won't Spam You (hardly have time to do the dishes around here folks)

Don't worry about me using or sharing your information (other than for the mailing of the prizes). I'm just a girl with a grill(s), and I don't even have a mailing list. If I did, I wouldn't put anyone on there without permission anyway. Not cool - that. If you want site updates, there's a place to sign up on the right side - both an email option and various site feeds. But, that's on your end - not mine.

How the Prize Drawing Goes Down

This will be a low tech drawing. I'll write down each entry. My sons will fold and shake them in a bucket. Their Dad will draw the 5 winners. I would have my Dad draw, but he is no longer with us. He was a great griller though, and he got me started grilling.

Don't Miss the Grill Party and the Great Free Gift for 5 Lucky Winners

I'll take entries through midnight June 20, 2009 EST and then do the drawing on Father's Day.

You can surprise your Dad or invite him over and make up a tasty barbecue sauce with the kit. Your call and fun either way.

And the winners are in! Thanks to everyone for such great stories. You're all terrific. Here are the prize package winners pulled on the Mug Root Beer Contest. Congratulations and let me know how you like the sauce.

Join the She-Smoke Virtual Barbecue Contest and Help Fight Hunger

More women are grilling every year according to HPBA, and some new barbecue books are reflecting that trend including She-Smoke: A Backyard Barbecue Book by Julie Reinhardt.

Julie is the co-owner of Smokin' Pete's BBQ in Seattle, so she's had plenty of experience.

Along with the release of the outdoor cooking book, Julie is hosting the She-Smoke Virtual Barbecue Contest. In addition to prizes, she is donating $1 per entry to Heifer International to fight world hunger.

The contest is open to guys too, of course. And the fellows will find Julie's new book helpful too. Just buy a copy for a lady friend and then borrow it (-:

Here's the information on the virtual barbecue cook out:

1) Check out the contest web site.
2) Have a barbecue and video tape it.
3) In your 1-3 minute video tell what you are smoking or grilling and say what barbecue means to you.
4) Upload your video in response to the trailer.
5) For every entry they will donate $1 to Heifer International.
6) Contest dates are now through June 15th 2009. Winners will be announced by July 5th 2009.

Categories include:

1) Best looking barbecue (we can't eat it virtually, so make it a feast for our eyes!)
2) Best Video
3) Best Party - let us feel like we are there!
4) Most Interesting Smoker
5) Best Overall Entry/Grand Champion

Winners will receive a signed copy of She-Smoke: A Backyard Barbecue Book, and the Grand Champion will receive other fabulous prizes.

Check out Julie's blog for updates. I just peeked again, and Traeger is donating a pellet grill for a top prize. That's a good one. We love smoked ribs on the Traeger and can also bake casseroles and even biscuits. It's a whole new experience in outdoor cooking.

Marzetti Backyard Barbecue Contest 2009

If your patio area could use an update, enter the Marzetti Backyard Barbecue Contest which runs through the end of July 2009. Grand prize winner to be announced in August.

You’ll find coupon codes on the back of the various salad dressings and also on the slaw dressing which is the most popular slaw dressing in the United States. With 30 different dressings, there’s bound to be one that you’ll love. This is an old product, dating back to 1896 when Teresa Marzetti started making her own dressing at her Italian restaurant. Some of the varieties are kosher too.

If Marzetti isn’t sold in your area (give your grocery store manager a hint about that), but you can click on the “don’t have a code” button online or send in a snail mail request for a code.

In addition to the grand prize winner, there will be a daily instant prize winner. You just go to the web site and play a game that’s basically like scratching off a prize card to see if you’ve won or not.

Daily prized include one of the following:

Franklin Croquet Set ARV $100
Franklin Bocce Ball Set ARV $100
$100 Williams-Sonoma Gift Card
$100 Crate & Barrel Gift Card

The grand prize winner which will be randomly drawn from all entries includes:

$1000 Lowe’s gift card for any purchase
$2000 Lowe’s for a patio set
$500 for food for a barbecue to show off the new backyard upgrades
One year supply of Marzetti slaw dressing

So, what you are you waiting for? You can’t win if you don’t enter.

For more details, see the Marzetti contest page.
