The 4th of July has come and gone, but the good times still roll with my Barbecue Master Summer Fun BBQ giveaway. I'm really excited about this contest and all the great prizes.

Food: Cookin' It, Livin' It, Lovin' It by Guy Fieri
You'll find lots of inspiration in Guy Fieri's new cookbook. This is a big hardback cookbook packed full of yummy recipes and great photos.
Inside Guy Fieri's New Cookbook
Doesn't this Red Rocker Margarite Chicken look delicious? It's just one of many recipes in the cookbook ranging from poultry and seafood to pizza/pasta and dishes especially for kids.
Guy Fieri's New Line of Barbecue Sauces
In addition to the Fieri cookbook, you'll also get the sampler of his barbecue sauces. Readers may recall that I reviewed his North Carolina #6 which is a really nice sauce reflective of my area of the country.
Get Your Grill on with a Nice Barbecue Tool Set
When you're out at the grill saucing up some pork chops or chicken, you need tools. The gift bundle also includes this heavy duty BBQ tool collection.

Now, I'll bet you're hungry. You're in luck again, because this prize pack also includes a $25 gift card, so you can pick up some pork to fire up on the grill.
Holy cow (or perhaps I should say pig), that are some great prizes. And one lucky reader will get the whole package.
How to Enter the Barbecue Master Summer Fun Barbecue Giveaway
I'm a hobby barbecue blogger and like to keep these contests simple and low tech.
To enter, all you need to do is go to comments and give other readers a tip for grilling pork or if you don't have any tips, then just tell me why you'd like to win this giveaway prize pack. I do moderate the comments, so you don't get stuck reading spam or seeing naughty links. So, you won't see your comment immediatly. I have to get on and approve each one, but I do that often.
Yes. Simple as that. Just leave a comment, and you are entered. Be sure to leave some way to get in touch though, because I'll need to get a mailing address from the winner. That's the only data I gather or give out - just the winner and just so the prize can be mailed.
I know some readers like extra entry options, so if you Tweet, Facebook, or blog about the contest, you get extra slips in the hat. Just leave a comment letting me know that you added an extra entry. And, yes, you can do all three if you like.
The contest will run through July 10, 2011 EST 11:59 pm. The winner will be pulled on the 11th to start the week off really nice for a lucky Barbecue Master winner.
Winners will need to be from the U.S. due to shipping. I do appreciate my wonderful international readers and wish it were easier to ship out.
Note: The National Pork Board will be providing the gifts; however, I serve as the sponsor for the contest. I'm not connected with the Pork Council or any of the prize companies. I did get the same prize as being offered to a reader (those photos you see that I put up).
THANKS to everyone who entered and for the great pork grilling tips. My son drew the name, and Tom won this gift package. Congratulations Tom.
I don't keep contact lists, but there is an automatic email update over to the right side. Keep an eye out. I host giveaways now and then and enjoy having the chance to see someone win a nice gift like this package provided by the National Pork Board.

I don't grill without fresh lemon juice and oregano, especially with pork!!
Always take fresh lemon and oregano when grilling. Especially when grilling pork!
We like to let our pork sweat a bit after we have rubbed it down before it goes on the grill
I dont know how to BBQ pork as Im a vegetarian. But I really love Guy and watch him everyday and could use the extra help. Thanks
Great giveaway! I find that when I'm doing a pork butt in the smoker, mustard makes a really great adhesive for any rub that you may use.
Number 1 tip for pork: Don't overcook. Use a meat thermometer and remember, the USDA now says we only need to cook it to 145-degrees F with a 3 minute sit time.
I have to admit, I like Guy F. I haven't done pork any way but as chops, but once it's grilled, I do like to stick it in the processor and tear it up a little, add some Texas Pete and yom!
Gimme three extra slips in the hat, 'cause Tweeting and Facebooking is my thang. I'll be blogging it too!
Always brine a pork butt before preparing it for low and slow cooking on the smoker. Then find your injectable sauce and fill 'er up. Be prepared for a 12 hour wait before that pork butt is done. Be sure to mop along the way and finish it off in the last 10 minutes with your sauce. The best part of the pulled pork is the crust. Its not very hard, just very time consuming. Start two days out from when you want to serve your guests.
well i cant grill because we are in a horrible drought and burn ban :o( .. but (If i won this) when its lifted ill be ready to go!
I do a kryopack of pork butt for the 4th of July and invite a whole bunch of people....
I like to rub some mustard which helps the rub stick....I smoke the butts and achieve a temp of 190-195....Once pulled, I add a splash of the rub I used along with some apple juice and apple cider vinegar for moisture and flavor....It all goes over very well with my friends....
I like pork about any way you can dream of. I use a pellet grill and smoke everything at least 30 minutes before I put any heat to it...Just Awsome....

For the juiciest pork tenderloin ever, rotisserie it on the grill. I'm a purist: Salt and pepper is all you need. Use a meat thermometer so that you don't overcook, and a medium sized loin will be cooked to succulent perfection in about 15 minutes on the rotating spit. Couldn't be easier.
Enjoy,
Joseph, New York City
(Hell yeah we grill here. Surf, too!)
I would love to win because I just got a new barbecue grill and I would love to have a cool prize pack to go along with it!
When I read "grilling pork" my go to is chops. Always always always, buy thick cut bone in pork chops. Look for meat with a dark rich color and marbling, not the pale washed out stuff that looks closer to chicken. Marinate for an hour or so with any flavor you like.
This would be such a great product to win! i absolutely love Guy Fieri and watch him everyday on the Food Network..i have been trying to improve my skills as well, but grilling hasn't been the easiest because i haven't had the right tools..now i can!
What fantastic prizes! I believe the N C barbeque flavor is the best. My hubby, when in the USAF in Goldsboro, NC, worked at a barbeque restaurant. He is a BarBQ lover, but still favors NC BarBQ. He is trying to discover the best way to do ribs on the grill.
I'll add this contest to facebook for sure!
My husband loves grilling so this would be a great gift for him!

Get the grill nice and hot before you put the meat on.
Two of my favorite ways to cook pork - stuffed pork loin with fresh herbs. Stuffed pork loin with apple sage dressing.
My favorite way to cook it and my tip - cedar plank it! The smoke and flavors are over the top. Preheat one side of the plank till it starts to burn. Flip it over, oil it and place your pork on the burnt side. Cook till done :-) oh, so good!

a good brine solution and a good rub...what makes a good brine or rub? 3 or 4 basic ingrediants for brines use a fruit juice (I prefer apple cider for pork,,kosher salt (never ever any that has been iodized) crushed black pepper, dark brown sugar and garlic powder..these are the bare essentials..if ya want heat add crushed red pepper to it...I also add a can of Ginger soda (my preference is Vernors)brine for at least 24 hours, rinse it the next day several times and let it soak in ice cold water for an hour or two, then rub it down with the same dry ingrediants that you put in the brine with the addition of dry mustard, and like any good BBQ it has to be cooked low and slow. I never let the grill/smoker get above 180*F for a full loin (10-13#) it should take 4-6 hours to reach 150*F pull it wrap it in foil, then wrap it in a heavy beach towl then place it in a cooler for another hour..this will be the juicest most tender best tasting pork loin you have ever wrapped your tounge around...
Thanks Cyndi for this oppertunity

Though it has, I'm sure, been stated MANY times, the magical secret to grilling (or smoking) out the most tender, juicy, delectible pork ever, is to watch the internal temp of the meat. 145*F in the center of the cut is sure to be the winning number. Make sure your thermometer is not touching bone, or sticking through to the grill grate or pan, and remember to rest the pork for a few minutes before cutting into it, so that the spectacular juices of the pork redistribute throughout the cut.
Here's an equally important follow-up tip: Know thy pork. Be sure to grill and/or cook pork often enough that you don't have to continually stick the cut over and over to check the internal temp. The more holes you put in it, the more flavorful juices you are likely to lose.
So, long story short...GRILL PORK OFTEN! :)
I don't grill much so I'm lovin' the advice from others. Thanks for the great giveaway and the tips!

Ooohhhh great prize pack! Enter me!
My mom makes the best pork ribs (and I'm slowly learning!) We put the thawed ribs in a glass baking dish with a load of onions and seasonings to preference (mainly minced garlic, salt, and pepper for us). Add about 1 C water and cover with foil. Bake for 2 hours at 300 degrees. When the pork is tender, we pull it out and place the bare ribs on the grill with LOADS of BBQ sauce until the sauce caramelizes. OHHHHHH...so juicy and fall-off-the-bone DELICIOUS!

Take a pork tenderloin and brine in salt, water, beer, maple syrup and Crushed garlic, black pepper for at least two hours. Rinse and either use a dry rub or not but no extra salt then place on grill on low to medium heat. Meanwhile take a bottle of Paul Newman's Balsamic Vinaigrette salad dressing and put about half of it in a sauce pan to reduce on low heat. Take it down to about half or less. Add an equal amount of BBQ Sauce (without added smoke flavoring; you are using a grill and it gets its own smoke flavoring for cryin' out loud) and about a quarter cup of high quality hot sauce. Then when the tenderloin is just ready, still a very faint pink in the middle, remove from grill, slice and cover with sauce. Oh MY!
I partially boil my pork ribs before grilling. It makes them juicier!

I've never grilled pork before, but I'd love to win because then I would have my father grill pork tenderloin for me. Email: yona(at)pricelesswriters.com
My dh loves to grill, even when it's cold out! But he keeps his secret recipes to himself!
I'd love to give this as a present to my dh.

I would love to win this bbq package because I am just starting out with grilling. My wife and kids are sick of burned food, I have slightly improved over the last few weeks, but I know winning this prize pack will give me the extra boost to give my family some great grilled food! Not to mention, I am a fan of Guy Fieri and try to watch diners drive ins and dives as often as I can. Thanks for the chance to win a great package!
I marinate mine overnight in the fridge before grilling.
Now following by GFC (Gianna) and email.
My biggest tips are to oil well so it doesn't stick and don't over cook! delondra@gmail.com
One of my favorite BBQ pork recipe is SPICY PORK SKEWERS
My tip is to soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes so they don't burn in the grill.

I grill with a rub, then apply a suace to soak in after it has been grilled, which keeps things cleaner. matthew harman
My best tip for grilling pork, is not to OVERcook it! We do a porkloin on the grill, split down the center w/slices of pepperjack cheeese inserted. Use toothpicks to close, marinate w/pineapple teriyaki sauce (or Lemon pepper if so desired!), wrap in foil & cook on grill about 30 minute per pound. Let cool X 10 minutes IN THE FOIL, then unwrap and enjoy!!!((1955nursehjc4me(at)myway(dot)com)) TY!
I would love to win this for my husband, he love grilling and would be so excited about this!

Pork tip is not not overcook and go low and slow. I also like a apple-mustard glaze on pork!
